Jasmin Tulp provides employment between Syrian refugees and the Dutch labor market. We are committed to connect these well-educated and highly skilled people with extensive experiences. The name Jasmin Tulp represents the connection between two flowers, the jasmine from Syria and the tulip from the Netherlands. Every talent is welcome with us.
We believe that active participation in the labor market ensures that refugees integrate successfully and more quickly, and thus become self-reliant citizens within the Dutch society.
Our strength lies in a small, local approach which we maintain due to personal contact with both refugees and the companies. With that we ensure the quality of the match.
Mirjam Elenbaas developed the idea of Jasmin Tulp and is supported by Shahd Abu AlEnin, business administrator from Damascus. She’s the link between Dutch and Arabic for Jasmin Tulp Werving & Selectie aswell as Jasmin Tulp Amsterdam.
The newly sociologists Manon and Solveig, both interested in social inequality and diversity, devoted themselves for Jasmin Tulp within their own living area of Amsterdam. With heart for the city they would like to see that everyone gets a fair chance to participate.
The enthousiasm was felt when Manon visited her aunt (Mirjam, owner of Jasmin Tulp Werving & Selectie) in Scherpenenisse and Mirjam told her about her new way of work. With this story she encouraged Solveig and so Manon and Solveig decided to go for the same ideology within Amsterdam.
